On my road to be compassionate to my friends I often struggle in the process of being able to help and fix them. But that’s not compassion. Compassion means to “to suffer with” to recognize the shared feelings and pain. To be compassionate we do not need to be a healer or a fixer. We need to hold hands and bear the pain and share the darkness together. I hope I can hold my hands of my dearest friends in times of darkness. Urge you to do so as well. #compassion #feminism #femaleempowerment #equality #bernebrown #giftsofimperfection
